September 27, 2025: Reception for “All That Grows”, featuring Karen Mason and Jill Landau, as well as featured guest artist, Judy Rosenfield.
June 28, 2025: Reception for the exhibit, “Seeing Differently” featuring photographer Wenda Pyman, and guess artist, Judith Rosenfield, as well as the work of 17 member srtists and 5 guest artists.
April 12, 2025 marked the reception for Moraga Art Gallery’s new show, “Connections”, which featured Danguole Rita Kuolas’s color and black and white linoleum prints and Susan Erickson’s whimsical, colorful mixed media and collages.
The reception for “Expressions” was celebrated on Saturday, September 14 featuring Mary Leigh Miller, raku ceramics, Dalia Alekna with her abstractions and guest artist, Alys Briggs.
The well attended Opening Reception, Saturday, June 8 for “Vistas and Hues”, featured acrylic painter Angelica Samame and oil painter, Kerima Swain, as well as guest artist, abstract painter Irenka Kudlicki. Accompanied with Carribean music on steel drums by Harry Best.

The Opening Reception, April 6, 2024 for the exhibit Moving Energy which featured member photographer Lucy Beck and member painter Irene Needoba. John Brown was the featured guest artist.
The well attended Moraga Art Gallery Reception celebrated the exhibition, Stories on Canvas, featuring the work of gallery members, Kath Balamuth and Jill Landau, and guest artist Karen Mason, on January 27, 2024 from 3-5pm.
Moraga Art Gallery’s gala reception for Now and Then, Saturday, November 18 features the work of Margaret Lucas Hill & Susan Erickson, and guest artist Linda Ellinwood.
Moraga Art Gallery celebrated the opening of the exhibit, “Wonders of Man and Nature”, featuring the work of Linh Kang, painter and Wenda Pyman, photographer on August 19, 2023.
On June 7th, 2023, a reception for the riveting exhibit, “Moments in Time”, celebrated 2 of our member featured artists: Debby Koonce and Judy Miller, as well as our featured guest artist, Dinah McFarlane.
A receptions was held May 2, 2023 at the Moraga Art Gallery for the 10th Congressional District High School Art Competition and Exhibition hosted by Congressman DeSaulnier. The exhibition is a judged art show, open to high school students from public and private schools in the Tenth Congressional District of California, as well as high school students home-schooled within the district.
Moraga Art Gallery held an Opening reception on April 22, 2023 for the new exhibit “Spring Exhibit 2023” featuring the works of printmakers, Rita Kuolas and Pat Prosek.
On February 4, 2023, the Moraga Art Gallery held an Opening Reception for the new exhibit, “Fire and Light“, featuring the work of ceramist, Donna Arganbright and photographer, Lucy Beck.
Our opening reception for “Variations on a Theme of Beauty”, held on November 19, was a great success! The show featured George Ehrenhaft, watercolorist & Dalia Alekna, abstract painter.
October 15 reception for “Unique Expressions in Color & Design”, featuring paintings of Irene Needoba, and jewelry of K de Groot, as well as the featured guest artist, Judy Feins. This show runs from August 31-Nov. 6.
July 16th reception for “Creative Contrasts” running from June 22nd to August 28th. Our featured artists are, Mary Leigh Miller and Angelica Samame with guest artists, Gail Miles and Latisha Baker.

Early in 2020 Covid-19 put an end to receptions held in conjunction with the opening of each new show at the Moraga Art Gallery. To express their gratitude for community support since then, the gallery’s members invited the public to a special reception on Saturday, April 24th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, which was held in the plaza in front of the gallery at 432 Center Street in Moraga’s Rheem Shopping Center.
The Ribbon Cutting and Grand Re-Opening of the Moraga Art Gallery took place November 23, 2019 in our new space at 432 Center street. It was very well attended. There was great excitement & curiosity in the Moraga Community. A good time was had by all!
The new show, “Pattern Parade”, featuring paintings of Angelica Samame and Irene Needoba opening reception was a big draw with live music, good eats and conversation on Saturday, August 17, from 5-7pm.
The Opening reception, for “Into the Wood(s)” on Saturday, March 23rd from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. George Ehrenhaft, watercolors & Duke Herrero, woodworker are the honored guests. The public is invited to meet the artists, enjoy a glass of wine and light snacks accompanied by live music.
Wenda Pyman’s latest exhibit of beguiling landscape photographs entitled “A Sense of Place” kicks off 2019 at the Moraga Art Gallery. The show runs from January 9th to March 16th. The Opening reception on Saturday, January 12th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
In the spirit of the season, the Moraga Art Gallery presents “Holiday Magic in Porcelain and Paint” a colorful show featuring the works of two of Lamorinda’s most celebrated artists: Lafayette’s Donna Arganbright and Orinda’s Maria SantoStefano. Moraga Art Gallery’s show, entitled “Walk on the Wild Side,” features the distinctive work of member artist Josie Osolin. The Opening Reception, August 22nd, was well attended.
The Opening Reception on June 9, for “Precision Beauty,” the Moraga Art Gallery’s new exhibit, had a great turnout. Featured were interpretations of nature in the form of jewelry by member artist Kuniko Kay Nitta of Walnut Creek and watercolor paintings by Berkeley’s Karen Kramer. The show runs from June 6 through August 11.
