I work primarily with mixed media including mixed media collage, assemblage, and altered books and creative cards, as well as oil and acrylic painting. My artwork tells a story linking the past to the present and future through the use of old books, periodicals, and recycled prints.
As my work has evolved, depth and interconnectedness have become important characteristics to me, which I convey through creating unique textures and layering. I aim to evoke a feeling of nostalgia, inspire the whimsical spirit, and enjoy incorporating humor into my pieces. My latest abstract more edgy work focuses on the present moment and is an exploration of movement and lines.
Currently, I spend most of my time at my art studio in Jack London Square continuing to experiment, grow, and create.
